It seems almost certain that Michael Obafemi will end the transfer window as a Burnley player as talks reportedly carried on between the two clubs on Wednesday as they looked to find the middle ground that would allow the deal to be completed. The interest from Turf Moor came about earlier in the week...

Seen that a few teams are looking at Callum Britain at Barnsley, could he be the RWB we’ve been after?

The move for Okoflex makes a lot more sense if Obafemi goes to Burnley.
If we do get £8m it would represent a tidy profit on the player, but if we do sell him we absolutely must bring in a right back / wingback.

He signed for Blackburn a while back didn't he?

Apologies he did, problem with looking through twitter early in the morning. Ogbene in as a striker would be ideal, a right back could be anyones guess. Still think a cheeky loan with a view to buy offer for Tony Ralston might be a good option

Ogbene would be a good one, I don't think we'll have the money needed even after a sale to get him though. Drameh would be the one if we could get him perm, but it's looking like a pipe dream now sadly.

I guess it depends whether Rotherham think they'll be safe without him as he can agree a deal for nothing abroad in January. Might be worth them taking £1.5m?

Losing Obafemi and getting in Ogbene and Drameh and getting £3m in the bank would be fantastic business mate. Pipe dream though as you say

A striker who has scored 20 goals in 172 matches?

I’ve got that horrible feeling that we will lose both Piroe and Obafemi today.

Yep, looking at what is available we won’t get much better. He’s a utility player that can come in and hit the ground running. Play Piroe through the middle and Ogbene and OKO-Flex on the wings.

On my Brittain mistake earlier, I read wrong it’s Callum Styles who’s on the move from Barnsley

I would be surprised if piroe goes now , doesn't look like anything is in the works unless something comes out of the blue today , the uncertainty will be over and the season starts tomorrow , that's how I would spin it if I was Martin 😊

Strikers with better stats are out of our price range. We’re shopping in Poundland’s bargain bin and hoping a player gels and improves.

We also have to remember Oba and Piroe’s strike rate before we had them. In our position of a club now we have to take educated risks and hope they come off

That would be insane, even for us.
