Brave decision and very best wishes. This shouldn’t be an issue at all but unfortunately some will make it one.

Wonderful to see. Very brave young man, hopefully other players now will follow his inspirational lead. Very clever timing too, end of season, everyone knows, by the start of next year, it'll just be another story. Also he's not in the first team, so he won't have that pressure.

Goes without saying there shouldn't be any pressure but really hope he forges a pathway

Fair play to him absolutely brilliant and no shame at all

I hope the dressing room culture supports this lad. If I were gay I wouldn’t have even been brave enough when playing for North End with mates, never mind as a pro.

I hope it also gives the many, many, others in the pro game some validation and reduces any feeling of isolation and fear.

Let’s hope this gives other gay players the strength to come out.

If this triggers a lot more to come out in a shorter period of time, rather than 1 player a year (for example), then it would quite rightly be seen as nothing out of the ordinary.

Obviously a huge decision for anyone to come out, but hopefully more will follow suit

Well done fella, good luck to you,....but.
Knowing fans as we do, he'll get slaughtered.
Sad but true.

He has played for their first team I believe. Which at 17 means he’s quite the talent.

More courage than those who are twice his age.

Your probably right, but if anyone around me decides to take a cheap shot if he playes at my manor look out, honestly they'll be on their heels sharpish 👍
