Left footed centre back.

We are approaching Cooper levels of loans now.

This was my worry, but I'm pretty certain we'll be getting atleast two perms in the next few weeks.

Squad shaping up nice now.

Like someone mentioned I think we need bodies now , if we had this many loans next year I’d be slightly concerned . Give Watson time to plan then.

Is this Humphreys a centre back or left back?

Left sided centre half mate.

Ball player too, we are nowhere near going long ball next year.

Loans are fine we got to the play off final with loans, plus with the 9 squad players on the bench they will be handy, especially as it seems only Abdulai will be the only one stepping up this season from the U23s, we have Ogbeta to come back as well so I’m fairly certain Duff will want to see him.

Had a good pre season with Chelsea by all accounts

Got to the playoff final, lost, and had to start from a weaker position the next season because Cooper had invested in 15 loan players over two seasons instead of building something within the club.

4 loans is the max for me, aside from Rushworth I can't really say that the other 3 will be cemented first team players unless their loan term states otherwise......its up to the 3 to stake their claims as the season pushes on.

I do feel that we will see a few loans out with B Cooper and Conegrove....i still expect to see 1 or 2 leave permanently, my guessing with the recent loans being Wood and Grimes.
I could be wrong though.

Might be a few things in place with one or 2 of the loans for a permanent down the line but I feel we need to counter act loans with a few permanent younger players, if we have to loan them out as soon as we sign them then so be it.
Glory Nzingo is a good example, reports are that this lad is the business and could at some point have a run out with the first team squad this season if he carries on impressing.

I think loaning players is problematic and doesn't show long term thinking. Even if you do go up, it's likely those players won't be with you next season (the two City lads at Sheffield United, Tella and Maatsen at Burnley) so will need replacing, and if you don't go up, you're in a weaker position anyway, like Boro having lost Archer and Ramsey.

If the players are good, and you don't get promotion, you've just developed another teams players for no gain. We didn't get anything from Guehi or Brewster, but helped them develop into Premier League players.

I get why teams do it, and you can't judge the success of the loan until the end of the season (maybe I'd feel better about loans had Abraham and Sanches kept us up) but I'd hope that next season we won't be as reliant on loans as we seem to be this season. I suppose the positive is that the Board must view us as a borderline playoff team and think these players will get us over the line, and I like that optimism.

We are not alone taking in 3-4 loan players in the championship.
I would prefer to look at it more positively if we cant get the quality player for a price we can afford and the youngsters we have are not quite ready from the managers viewpoint.
Why not tap into the loan market. It's that or do nothing or do nothing.

Doing nothing can mean developing an asset for Swansea City from "not ready" to "if we accept less than £15m we riot". If the loan players we've brought in are all quality then it likely means sidelining Benda, Key and Darling for much of the season, let alone Abdulai, B. Cooper and other youngsters Duff kicked back down to the u21s.

We either have to get promoted off the back of temp workers, or hope they all flop and our own assets get the game time they need to progress and not decide to leave for greener pastures. Anything else and it's back to square -1 then following season with a squad older but no wiser. We're not alone in loaning in players, but also not alone in having unproven youngsters in crucial squad-filler positions.

I am not siding with either side but we have to take into account financially how much a loan will cost us.
An example, Cannon at Everton is available for a loan fee of just shy of 1M plus wages.
These lads we have/are loaned will come with around a 6 figure loan fee and potentially us covering up to 100% of their wages with no resale value for us.
