• We have today (22nd April) confirmed the closure of JackArmy.net on 31st May. Our reasons are varied but after a twenty-five year stint at the heart of the online Swansea City community, the time is right for us to bow out.

We are pleased to announce that a new football forum for Swansea City fans is available and ready for use. Having read Phil’s emotional post and the pages of feedback which followed, it became clear that the closing down of Jackarmy.net would leave a huge gap. We will never be able to replace that gap and the tireless work that Phil has put into his various ventures will never be matched, but this is not our aim. The aim of the new forum is to provide an online community, a sanctuary, a place of discussion for those who are interested in constructive discussion about both Swansea City, football in general and other life topics. I speak on behalf of everyone who reads Phil’s site by thanking him for his efforts over the 25 years of existence, a truly monumental effort.

You are invited to head over to the new place at https://www.jackarmyforum.com but before creating an account we ask that you take time to read the forum T’s and C’s (stickied in the Site Announcements board). If you are not able to comply with those words, then Jack Army Forum is not the place for you. Similarly if you do create an account and then break those conditions then you can expect to be removed. There are also several other sticky’s which should be read; a short user Wiki/’how do I do this’ and a welcome post. Read them all! If you do decide to join us, please also leave a comment in our ‘guest book’; we would love to be able to read the comments back in years from now!

The team at Jack Army Forum hope to see many of you pop up over there at some point in the near future (some of you already found us – Google has been your friend it seems!) COYS!

The Jack Army Forum is not affiliated in any way to Phil Sumbler, Jackarmy.net, predecessor sites, or any other resource for Swansea City fans.
