• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

it would but its amazing how it took the Yanks man on the ground ie Pearlman to work out a means to benefit both parties.....think what coukdbhave been had the sellouts thoughts f this when we first got to the PL
Hindsight post but imagine if the Americans had bought the stadium instead of wasting 16M on Lucas and 12M on Bony.
Think the council would have been tempted with 25M + on the table.

Still mm
Well those purchases were down to Jenkins....
The buck stops with the owners, the owners have the final say.
You could argue the suggestions could be down to Jenkins, the scouts or even Paul Clement.......or even a combination of all.
It's something we can only summarise on but we know who would have had the final say.

Leaving this 'brave' announcement a little late aren't they? They say Friday is a good day to bury bad news, so let's see what tomorrow brings.

My money is on either something to do with International Women’s Day or that they’ve cleaned the lines in the North East bar.

He's taken on board the feedback that you shouldn't employ your golf buddy in a made-up Mickey Mouse role and put him on megabucks, and he's doing the right thing and sacking him?

But as is said what would the owners have known of clueless and Bony....they acted on the advice of their on the ground expert HJ

That would be true if you were not summarising it was Jenkins who made that suggestion.

We know the owners have history of going against suggestions(O'Riley and Ogbene).
The Bony deal suited them financially due to the previous transfer of the player, same applied with the Ayew deal.

It must have been the ‘brave’ decision for AC to mingle with asbo corner at Watford.

He no doubt told them in no uncertain terms to :
- not ‘simply’ fall for the fickle fringe fantasist propaganda
- burn their silly little ‘yanks out’ flags
- get behind the vast spending (cognisant of P&S guidelines) and best in class resourcing model
- and behave like proper fans.
