I would be happy with this
Strong defender and a danger from set pieces

He's not a great footballer, doesn't have much pace, but he's good in the air, and is a defender.. I've watched him about 5/6 times, he's a bit like Bidwell

Was sent off against us when Monk managed Birmingham. Always seemed more of a scrapper than a footballer.

Duff doesn't want us to be a nice team. :)

Sounds more like Ryan Bennet from that description…,,

Looks like a left centerback, much needed.

A left back/centre back is much needed yes.

Pedersen would be a gamble, but no transfer fee involved (hopefully).

A mid table finish in ten months time without any relegation drama in-between is our bag nowadays 👍

Well Birmingham released him 12 months ago, and they've been crap for years.
Hopefully he'll get a second wind with us :D

was he released or at the end of his contract as he went to a Bundesliga team

He wasn't offered another deal so released at the end of his contract, basically not wanted at St Andrews...

In current circumstances this looks like a canny move. We desperately needed a left side defender and he should be able to fill that role - and he comes on a free!
