• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I know it’s contrary and I know we’ve got loads of points and I tend towards ‘the devil you know’ but…

It’s all very bog standard championship ‘grit, tooth and nail’ stuff. I really don’t know how far that’ll get us in a long season. Whichever way it goes, I can see the argument, and I wouldn’t argue stick or twist strongly. It’s starting to feel like there’s a stick to beat the board with, whichever way they jump on this now.

Well since he took over on 17th Feb almost a quarter of a season has been played
This is the Championship form table over those 10 games:

It is, and I do get what you're saying, but with the state the club is in - losing £20m a year - and with a group of honest but limited players, surely it's better to play a more pragmatic style and try and get results that way. It's certainly working.

The alternative is to get another "process" coach in who pretends Josh Key is Gareth Bale, and thinks +90% pass completion rates is equivalent value to winning three points.

"Swanselona" is in the past. We need to deal with the club as it is now, instead of trying to recreate something long gone.

One way or another Sheehan will have a job this summer. If we don’t sign him up to a contract at least a half dozen other clubs will offer him one based on his showing since February

Yeah, that’s why I normally say ‘stick’, and I certainly don’t want another bullshit merchant. I’m easy either way. He certainly deserves to be favourite unless there’s someone head and shoulders above.

"It's 10 games and 20 points now, so that's good. We're in a good place. I don't think about myself. If anyone knows how I work, it's not about me," Sheehan added.

"The hours we work are crazy. I've been here 22 months and if my time comes to leave, my conscience is clear that I dedicated my life to this football club for the last 22 months."

Am I the only one that heard his Radio Wales post match interview?

It was all about his duty of care whilst here and leaving the club in a better state. It was all clearly about him going.

He’s off.

Frankly, he deserves the job. Overlooking him would be a kick in the teeth for Sheehan and he would walk into another job, because there is no way that he would stay.

The timing of the Swedish fella link and Sheehan saying a conclusion coming soon and now them comments.

If he goes, it'll be with all our good wishes.
The gamble would be getting a side with new faces to challenge for promotion as opposed working with current squad he knows inside out.
