Anyone got one?
Bought one on Amazon yesterday, had it delivered earlier and just made chips for tea.

I can’t lie the finest chips I’ve ever tasted.

That is high praise indeed. I looked at one but I daresay after an initial dalliance it'd join the nutribullet, food processor, juicer, sandwich toaster and various other gadgets that have fallen into disuse.

It’s my new favourite thing.

Last night I made chicken thighs & stuffed peppers in mine, thighs took 12 mins, peppers 8 mins. Use it 3 or 4 times a week. Also use a Halogen oven as well.

Saves a lot on the electricity.

I’m a greenhorn but that sounds lush.

My old man has the same view. He says that it’s one of the best purchases he has ever made.

I started with chips as we wanted to reduce the fat content. Have also cooked Salmon in mine, took around 7 mins depending on how well done you like it.

I also make up different spice mixes to rub on the food which adds to the flavour.

I shall get practicing.

Just a note Dar, I cook skinless chicken but if you cook it skin on then think about putting some torn up bread in the bottom as otherwise it could start to smoke. The bread soaks up the fat.

Which model have you got? I have a basic Tower model but am thinking of upgrading to the Cosori, looks the dogs for a decent price.

What one did you purchase Dar?

Frozen chips? Or did you cut up some spuds?

I've told the wife we should get one, put my foot down I did.

She's considering it.

When you say chips do you mean a bag of frozen oven chips or cutting a potato up? If the latter, do you have to coat the potatoes in oil?

Hi Lisa, Real potatoes, sliced, rinsed, dried then a Tbsp of oil to coat & in my fryer I cook them at 180c for anywhere between 24 - 32 mins, depending on amount & type of potato. It is important to shake them around every so often to get even coverage.

Edited to add that you can also do frozen chips in it as well.
