After we scored, we grew in confidence and Blackburn couldn’t touch us. They didn’t know what to do.

With our fluidity, players inter changing position all the time, they had no idea who they were supposed to be marking.

It will cause a lot of teams problems going forward… especially as we improve

Defenders playing like defenders when were down to 10 men certainly helped.

Despite the amount of possession they had in the 2nd half, Blackburn had no other tactic than to just lump the ball into the middle which was bread and butter to 2 old skool centre halves like Cabango & Bennett who between them missed very few. A great backs to the wall defensive performance to see the game out. Not convinced Oba should have been the tactical sacrifice after Manning's red though because his extra pace and work rate might have given us more of an out ball and kept some of their defenders in their own half.

I will admit I did not see a 3-5-2 formation coming and it leaves plenty of questions to be answered about how we set up our defence in the future, however I called for a formation that makes the most of what to be honest is a pretty solid attacking lineup that we have and today RM delivered on that.

I still think we would be better with a 4-5-1 but it looks like he wants to try to accommodate Obafemi and Piroe together. Will take time for them to develop a partnership I think but there is potential there between Obafemi's raw pace and strength and Piroe's movement.

I agree it was great to see a more attack minded team from the outset.
Shame it all got changed after the sending off that never was but well done to everyone yesterday
