• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

A loan, I presume. We lose money again. Terrible signing.

If he does go on loan and they cover his wages, all we lose is whatever his signing on fee was. It probably wasn't much. I've said it before, he was signed when we only had one centre-half on the books and would have been very cheap. Don't get the hate over this one when we have so many other signings who seem like duds and who were far more expensive.

The lad was terribly unlucky to pick up such a bad injury at the start of the season as well.

Not really needed, hope to god there is genuine interest in him so we can move him on.

What a total waste of time Santos has been, it wa never good signing and clear as day he wasn't needed, even if he hadn't picked up the injury he would still have been 5th choice.

How? We hadn't signed the West Ham lad at the time, and only signed him as Cabango was struggling with an injury and Santos was out for an age. We signed him as 3rd choice

Easy to see an alternate reality here where we don't bother making such an awful signing, leaving us with just Cabango on the books. Then Burgess decides to sign elsewhere, maybe West Ham decide not to loan Casey. Then we're playing kids or scrambling to sign somebody last minute. All the Captain Hindsights here moaning about Santos would be throwing their toys out of the pram that the club didn't sign somebody like Santos earlier in the window...

yep, and everyone was saying it's a decent signing as backup in the summer. A freak injury shouldn't change that

Probably the same people who were saying we had a superb transfer window.
Again, it was one of the best windows we've had for as long as I can remember.

The whole squad, apart from 2 or 3, have been performing below par. Hopefully Matos cna remedy that
