• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

It wouldn’t because he’d have to be replaced, hence no savings at all.
Ok say he was replaced, let's hope the replacement is less incompetent. That would make some saving, less errors etc

Like where? Examples? Where would you cut?
After 15 years of austerity, the whole idea of all these ‘efficiency’ or waste savings is nuts. The only hope they had of cuts was the big growth in the welfare bill, and the ham fisted approach to that didn’t go so well last time. Also, if you sacked the whole DVLA (and surely nobody would advocate that…🫢), you lose the multiplier effect and have to pay more benefits. Simplistic right wing bollocks is everywhere.

Your favourite band Yes had a line to sum it up (possibly the only one of Anderson’s lyrics that made any sense).

“Lost in losing circumstances, that’s just where they are”.

Not that they’ve helped themselves, mind.

They're chucking billions everywhere but it's too difficult to think of anything specific. 🤣

Im busy ripping my bathroom out, then watched rugby and been busy since,I haven't time to spend endless hours on here like half of you lot, you obviously can't see the state the country.

Nearly 18 million to the chagos, billions to Gaza, Pakistan, Ukraine [which I can understand and the elephant in the room that is the billions its costing the taxpayer to house these asylum seekers coming over on boats.
No wonder we are approaching three Trillion in debt.

Dear me, so the sheep voted for the tortoise?
That's what happens in Wales.

There could be a rule that states you must sacrifice your first born on the steps of the Senedd and people would still vote for Labour because their great, great grand parents did.
