• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

It’s been on with us twice, first time was after we came back from a trip abroad because the place was freezing.

Yeah, we were away for a long weekend and got back Tuesday to a house at 14 degrees so the heating went on for a few hours.

Thermostat is showing the same temperature as the other day, but it feels a lot warmer today. I’m walking around with shorts on.

I just got home to an empty house. Heating is off and it’s 19.8° according to the stat, which is plenty warm enough. I’ve also got shorts on and it’s comfortable.

I don't think you've got any right to dictate the temperature of the house when you're not in it. It's a human rights issue. 😉

I wondered if "recalibrating" his wife when he's been away was some sort of euphemism

Comfortable for who Coops?

I’ll own up, last night it was on a for a little bit, first time.

Strange though the thermostat was showing 17.5, but it felt colder than that.
It was freezing in bed last night, the winter quit is waiting in the wings ready for work tonight 😂

Heating has been on lately, be on at some point tonight no doubt.

I’ve been away this week and through the power of the Hive app I can see that my wife was attempting to raise temps to a toasty 21°. However I don’t think she cottoned on to the fact that I’ve been sat on the other side of the world recalibrating her to 19°. I shall be having words later.
Wow. Talk about 'gas lighting'!

I don’t think the heating will go on tonight, just looked at the thermostat and it’s showing 19 degrees. Which is quite surprising as it was 17.5 when I wrote today’s message.

Yes, for a couple of weeks now, the odd hour/ half hour now and again, just to keep the chill off. 🥶👍
