• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Not a good time for ex-Swans coaches at the moment is it.

Dying on his arse at West Ham. Never the right fit from day one. Matter of time I think.

West Ham aren't in a good place and haven't been since they sacked Moyes. They hate their stadium, they hate Dai Topshelf, they hate Potter.

A payoff might be the best thing for him.

Was absolutely the right fit for us, yet another top top coach headhunted by our best in class recruitment apparatus.

Knew how to get the best out of our hidden gems like Grimes, et al.

A proper gem, in so many ways. Always misunderstood by challenged, myopic folk like the OP.

I still maintain he's an excellent coach but he's such a bad fit for West Ham it's unreal. They like muck and nettles football, up and at 'em, ball going in the box all the time, goalmouth action.

Potter is many things, but he's none of that.

Potter used to have his haircut done @ Number 57 Barbers Sketty, only a £7.50 trim, but always gave a score tip on top to Natilie the hairdresser. "A proper old skool gent". (according to Nat)
Her words not mine. #exclusive 👍

Fantastic work , if you can get it.

Lol. I have a few 'exclusives' from a Catering perspective too....

'#exclusive' has now become meaningless and a source of ridicule on Swans message boards, unfortunately.

Thankfully some of us on here still have a proper sense of humour and perspective

Of course that's why he failed to get us in the play offs , with a 20 goal a season striker (Mcburnie) and Dan James in the team. Couldn't make his mind up about his goalkeeper , and kept picking that buffoon Nordfelt. With the squad at his disposal he should have had us at least in the play offs. Seriously underachieved here.

A proper whoosh moment for you, fella.
Poached by highly respected leading edge Prem League Brighton's recruitment apparatus, thru to Chelsea and beyond.
Think harder, think deeper.

Kinell mun. He was building the Next Level, a la the EPL Brighton he built, with massive aplomb.

It coulda been us. It was exciting times....for those of us that didn't have our eyes wide shut

Yes, he really was, that's why he pissed off at the first opportunity.

Potter is a manager from era that isn't relative in footballl any longer.

His philosophy or style of playing the game was, has been found out ages ago. He doesn't know how to adapt to influence or change the outcome of a game.
