• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

As it says on the tin.

Swans linked heavily with two players in recent days but will either/both happen?

The Casey deal seems pretty far along and will probably happen. We're likely to be outbid for Kone, which to be honest I'm fine with as the numbers being mooted are way too high for my liking considering his contract status and the fact that he's only really played well for less than one full season in League One.

We've been here before with Max Watters. The latest hot prospect from the lower leagues who was clearly destined for big things until he actually landed in the Championship and turned out to be a bit shit.

Macualey Langstaff would be a more recent example also.

I hope the club are working on some backup options as this one does seem likely to get too expensive for us. I thought Vipotnik would get the chance to improve on last season, but Sheehan does not seem to be a fan.

I understand the scepticism on Kone, seeing as he's effectively had one good season at League One, but there's definitely a different feel to him than with Watters and Langstaff. Langstaff in particular was being openly rejected by clubs (us included, supposedly) through fears of him not being able to make the step up, whereas there are an absolute plethora of clubs trying to bag Kone.

It’s a huge risk that amount of money, I haven’t seen a lot of him apart from when he scored against us and YouTube, but I’m trusting peoples opinions who’ve watched him more and all the clubs interested.

Kellman who joined Charlton from QPR after his loan in L1 last season scored more than Kone.

If we dont get Kone, I'd rather go loan then get in another dud. Whats the point in shipping out Yates & Bianchini otherwise

Danns from Liverpool looks a very good player and would be extremely happy if we managed to get him on loan

WHU defender I would say yes, Kone I am unsure.

Dont know if there is a battle for his signature or his club trying to create more interest.

I will go yes to both.

We most definitely need a number 9

I guess the McB ship has sailed?

Does it depends on how desperate we get with a striker? Doesn't seem to fit the profile of what we are trying to achieve with younger players and sell them on. Imagine we have other options but McBurnie will need to be realistic about his wages and demands.

Well it depends what our ambitions are, if playoffs and promotion is our goal then a more accomplished striker would be needed to achieve this.

If the Kone signing is about flipping for a profit does that impact our ambitions and balancing the books in this league is our goal?
