• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Everyone knows that pure water is tasteless. Tap water isn’t pure water and contains minerals and additives that can give it a slight taste.
Wrong! If someone can drink it, and then identify what they are drinking, how on earth can it be tasteless. It’s absolutely ferking preposterous in this day and age, people would even say that.

To show balance, I'll reiterate that J_B said 'pure' water. Which is as close to tasteless as possible. It's also something that 99% of people will never taste.

Thank you, I honestly missed that bit.

I’m not, I guess it’s all down to your personal definition of what tasteless actually means? I know what tasteless means, and the sheer definition of it, is incorrectly used. Like you would use the term tasteless if having a shoddy meal, as in the food did not taste like it should have. To use the term for describing water is completely unacceptable in my humble opinion.

So can we all agree that pure water is indeed tasteless?

But none of us has ever tasted pure water, so it's a "No" from me!

(Btw I have tasted Spectroscopic ethanol during my undergrad chemistry years)

Theoretically.

Not convinced…

Edited to add:
That was about Sue Barker and Cliff Richard not about water, pure water, taste and the absence thereof. I just hit the wrong reply button.

Anyway my apologies, talking about a silly subject such as this. It makes no odds one way or another. Could go back and forth all night, bit like a pantomime, oh yes he is, oh no he’s not.! The more pressing matter is that I’m about to run out of beer. 🤬

Tell the mrs to sort herself out and go and get you some, or she can sleep in the shed tonight:ROFLMAO:

Yes, I was going to wait for wales to go 2 up, and get her a nice curry then smuggle a pack of ten in, but bloody hell I have literally run out 2 hours before I expected to.

Edit last drink for a few weeks, so ferk it, just hope I can convince her 🤞

“….and there won’t be Evian in Africa this Christmas time….The greatest gift they’ll get is a Britta Water Filter from Argos.”

Doesn’t quite scan really does it ? 😉
