• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Sigi yes, forgot he was once on Loan here, can't remember Johnson to be honest, that Winger we had from the North Paul somin he was decent, but O'Brien for me has been immense since he's been here, he's helped massively to pull us out of the shit which was looking daunting thanks to he who shan't be mentioned.
Yeah, he’s been great. Given who he replaced, it’s like having two extra players.

Jeff was someone we had from Manchester City in the early 70s. I loved him…probably the only one that remembers him 😂

I've a little hope for Darling at around a 60/40 spilt, but I just can't see it with O'Brien he's MOM every game in my eyes. probably the best Loanee we've ever had at the Swans, no one comes remotely close for me.
Leon, Roberto, Tatey, Johnrose?

Anyone at the club offering Darling 25k per week needs a good kicking in the car park.
When you consider we’re paying Pederson nearly £20k a week… £25k a week for Darling isn’t really stretching it.

His partnership he’s formed with Cabango is top drawer now - not many better in the league I would say.

That’s worth its weight in gold alone.

Looked like he was rrslly
Enjoying it recently too, that wouldn't be the case if he wanted to go surely

Neither Pederson or Darling at worth anywhere near that amount of money on a weekly basis.

Frank Lampard, innit

It's an interesting question (who is our best ever loan player). I think you'd have to limit it to how they performed whilst here, not how good they went on to be after - so I'd therefore have to bin my boy Frankie, I guess.

Well whilst agree on the others mentioned, O'Brien has been brilliant 99% of his time here and that's what I've based my opinion on, we were in the doldrums when he joined and he's dragged us up by our shoelaces.

Guehi was awful with us when he first joined but became unbelievable during his spell and has gone on to become England’s first choice centre back.

Matt Grimes was on £24k a week with us, Franco is £20k.

I don’t think £25k for Darling is too bad to keep him here.

It would cost an awful lot more to pay a transfer fee and wage to get anyone near his quality

Can't argue with his impact, although it would be interesting to see how he'd fare if Williams was still here with his doomball tactics, stifling everyone that comes within contact with it.
