• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

I posted a thread in the week on how we shouldn't lose our heads if we loss against Burnley and inevitably Leeds.

Though I still beleive we will start to pick up results after Leeds, is Sheehan the man to go forward?

Maybe today we were too tired and that was 1 game too much? But I don't think Sheehan has helped his course with getting the job now.

We was sloppy and have been for a few games. Blame us being tired? Or quality of players? Or coaching? For me there is no excuse to be sloppy.

I applaud Sheehan for being more positive in style and is much more better than Williams. But does he have what it takes to take this team to another level? We can't get rid of the whole team so someone has to work with tools they have.

Based on the last three performance the answer to this question is fairly obvious.

Performance that's the thing for me. Results is another. I am happy to see more positivity but performance in passing is not improving which might tell you we might need something different?

Absolutely not.

There was the ‘trading up’ thread of a few weeks ago where I think some were getting over excited about him. The positivity from there will have cooled off.

Performance should always be the benchmark.

Under Williams we didn't put in a full 90 minute performance, once.

I was excited, purely cos anything was better than Williams. I'm not saying Sheehan should be thrown under the bus. I applaud him for him stepping in and trying to make changes, but I think last 3 games as Smurth points out tells us what we need to know. Long term Sheehan maybe isn't the answer.

I’m not criticising him. He’s just a million miles from what we need right now.

No one is throwing him under the bus.

The bloke has been asked to take the reigns while a new manager is appointed, let's not forget he's employed by the club and isn't doing this for free.

Yes, we had a good result against Blackburn, the rest has been very much the same as it was under Williams.

He's a rookie manager trying to rinse out enough points to keep us out of trouble, with a wafer thin poor quality championship squad. In fairness this mess we find ourselves in is non of his making
I agree. Bad transfer windows and appointments etc. But there has been a habit of bad sloppy basic passing. All season. I get we talk about quality players, but you have to ask the question why is it still happening?

Bringing Fulton and Cooper on is down to him when we have better options on the bench.

Probably not but you have to take into consideration the average team and poor squad at his disposal.

We are lacking badly and no manager is going to turn this squad into one that can be consistent enough to be a solid mid table team.

Yeah that one did confuse me. Eom wasn't brilliant, and gave it away, but did he deserve to come off? Also Fulton, not sure if that is just a change due to tiredness on Franco? Maybe if it was forced on me, Allen for Franco. And Ginnelly on instead of Parker?
