• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

As well as the increases what boils my p1ss is the misleading nomenclature. Phrases like "energy cap to increase" and elsewhere "income tax thresholds to be frozen" are deliberately misleading to the uninitiated.

Massive ones at that, nevermind though at least their CEO's will earn far bigger bonuses now.
Indeed. The missus was listening to a phone in yesterday regarding the increases, some of the stories were heartbreaking, about folk who simply have to choose either heating or eating, it fvcking shocking. Britain 2025 mind, she was in tears at one point.🤬

Blimey, dont think I'll complain about my bill ever again. No, but seriously that's the point isnt it that these b******s dont get, folk have lives to lead, and they still continue to rip us off.

Starmer is another Prime Minister full of shit.

He was on national TV lying through his teeth two years ago banging on about Dad being a tool maker and how it feels to be skint and can't afford to pay the bills.

You know what I'm sick of being shafted, and I speak to a lot of folk and they all say the same, they've had enough.

I knew more than a few toolmakers back in the day and none were skint, although it depends on what Starmer thinks skint is, but the ones I worked with always had nice cars nice houses and great holidays.

I think his version of skint is completely different to the rest of us.

Same here, Max. Our toolmakers and tradesmen were always at the front of the queue for overtime. Saturday, Sunday, turning 8 into 12 hour shifts, you name it and they would grab it.

Some great stories from back in the day, there was one toolmaker who played rugby for Llanelli and Wales, and he was known to have taken a Saturday overtime shift over playing for Wales. A million miles away from the professional sport of today.

Exactly.
