• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Sack Race, Russell Martin, Steve Cooper, Erik ten Hag 🤔

It's not a bad shout, that.

If Arsenal rally between now and May and he can win a trophy of some sort, he will be fine.

But from where I'm standing, they've gone backwards this season, not just in results but performances too. £800m spent in last three years and all.

If they're trophyless again this season, he'll be amongst the favourites to get the sack if they start 25/26 badly. Or at least he should be, anyway.

Are you sure about that figure? I had a look and it was £542m in the last 3 seasons, almost £600m if we include the 19/20 season.

Net spend has them as the 4th biggest spenders in the last 5 seasons, behind Chelsea, Man Utd and Spurs.

Have to say losing Bukayo Saka hasn't helped his cause mind, but the pressure will be on him to land a trophy this season for sure, probably the FA Cup now...

Strange gig to except for Potter this, after Chelsea he's got to get his next appointment to work, West Ham are a basket case club and if it goes tits up for him he'll struggle to get another Premier league job.
Can't believe they let Lopetegui take training whilst negotiating with Potter.

It's poor form playing all this out in public by both Potter and West Ham

He won't last long there, another over rated coach if you ask me. I'm pretty sure a large proportion of the Brighton fans were glad to see the back of him.

My Arsenal supporting mate gave me that figure, but possibly the timescale is wrong. Perhaps he meant Arteta's total spend, that feels more likely doesn't it

You do have to wonder whether Arsenal would have won more by now if they'd appointed Ancelotti instead of Arteta. He was also available at the time if memory serves. Certainly they've missed quite a few opportunities to do so.

Not sure if Arteta is at serious risk, but there will be people wondering if he's really up to all that if they keep coming up short. He seems to want to try and prove people wrong by developing other clubs cast offs (Havertz, Jesus), perhaps ultimately demonstrating why other clubs cast them off in the first place.

Hours before their cup game tonight
Wonder who they are looking at

Must have someone in mind, given the timing.
Know they had a few shockers earlier in the season, the two 3-2 loses having been 2 up, but they somewhat steadied the ship.
Sh*t owners, no investment, constantly under PSR scrutiny - where do Everton expect to be?

Heard this lad earlier on Talkshyt, if anyone has any doubts about how much football means to the rank and file supporters up and down the country then have a listen to this.
Absolute class 💙

I almost phoned them and cried when I heard Williams was staying with us.

So far so good for Potter, Villa have been mince in fairness though...
