• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Russ was smart.
Russ was cool.
He would come out after a home humping and gather for fan selfies. Giving fans their little bit of Twitter fame could easily mask what went on at the footy. We even had one fan tweet that he hoped Russ’ Southampton would beat us in our league game.
The infatuation with him by some is bizarre. The Southampton fans worked him out quite early in to last season.

Wanting us to lose again his new team is just plain weird.

The Martin years were the least enjoyable period in all my years following the Swans.

For me, Cooperball was far worse see. Even though he won more games, I wanted to bleach my eyes out. The most turgid crap I've ever seen, perhaps only John Hollins team was less entertaining.

Wuss wins hands down.

At least with Cooper the result were positive.

Getting the boot from Southampton is going to hurt his ego.
Give it a couple of years and he'll either be managing at Monk's level or managing a vegan restaurant.

Obviously out of his depth in the Prem. Just as he was out of his depth in the Championship unless he's got a Premier League squad, and even then only just. Most Southampton fans despise him, apart from a few vocal wierdos who continually maintain that their shitness is literally the fault of anyone else.

Great point. This fucker thinks he’s the goat.
Some of our fans think he's the goat, and Cooper.. they're getting ruthlessly exposed against people who actually know what they're doing in a top division.. because the Prem is actually where they're worth their money

Forest have been going very well since they ditched Cooper.

A decision that was hammered by the unknowing national press.

I wasn't a huge fan of Cooper's but he's a better coach than Martin by several orders of magnitude.
