This time, a song you love that never made it big. A lost classic. From any era. Just the one

Starting off: Wire- outdoor miner.

Not sure if this fits this criteria but a band well forgotten.

This was huge at the time

A great record. Lost rather than undiscovered but very welcome

Was played on R2 shortly after Popmaster one day last week so not completely lost. I have a couple of memory sticks with around 3500 tracks on, one in my car and one in my van and the 12" version of this song is one of them so I always get to hear it at least once every 8-10 months as they rotate!! Got the same 3500 tracks on my phone too so I can always pick up where I left off wherever I happen to be.

In the week that Cardiacs' main man Tim Smith passed away, this brilliant song deserves an airing. Coincidentally I was cleaning all my 7" singles last week and when I saw this record, I just had to go and play it straight away - great guitar riffs. It achieved a humble No. 80 in the charts in 1988 and is in my top 5 favourite songs.
