The legendary UK music show The Old Grey Whistle Test first aired fifty years ago today on 21st September 1971.

Love watching clips of that show. Whenever they show Skynyrd it’s always Freebird but they did another song as well, can’t remember which one without searching but it’s got amazing guitars. Same with Judas Priest, I’m not a fan of theirs by a long stretch but the Old Grey Whistle test performance is brilliant.
 
I was watching that OGWT anniversary show and googling around as different bands came on
When Bob Marley and the Wailers came on i discovered that Aston "Family Man" Barrett has 41 children. :lol:
 
There were some bonkers performances on that show and some live performances were better than the originals.

Had a ticket for Bob Marley concert in Brighton in 1980 but gave it to somebody else because there was a pool night at the local pub which I didn’t want to miss. One of those daft decisions in life you live to regret.
