It’s looking like time at Leicester City, Liverpool and Celtic along with the Swans themselves will be enough to secure Chris Davies his crack at management as he becomes the man that is lined up to take over from Russell Martin. Martin is still expected to complete a move from SA1 to Southampton...

Ryland Morgan an interesting one, was over in Russia wasn't he?

Fitness coach, so assuming he’s not coming in as assistant, need an experienced head to be Davies’s right hand man imo.

Well if it is to be him then he has my full backing. Glad we are sticking with young coaches and it’s definitely encouraging that he has worked with Brendan. If he does bring Morgan back then that is another positive, hopefully he will have enough time in pre season unlike when we appointed Russ.

Wether its him of Mason, that'll do for me.
And Davies will shirley have built up enough contacts on his travels to get few decent signings. Something Russ didn't have.
Get it done sharpish please, to give the guy a chance.

We haven't done too bad on giving people a punt at being their first manager appointment.
Fingers crossed this another.

Spartak I think

So its widely accepted now that Southampton are waiting to officially become a championship club before appointing Martin and thus paying the lower release fee.

Will it be at that point that the clubs legal team will swoop into action and press for the higher fee by claiming Southampton approached him while they were still technically a Premier league club?

If he’s got the bottle and drive to be number 1 then he’ll turn down Spurs regardless of the financial difference, we’ll see, I think we’ve agreed the new manager coming in and it’s just a case of the domino affect to happen once Martin leaves, new manager announced, new investment announced, Winter & Marsh departure announced, and Watson being announced.

You would hope they've at least looked into it. Probably come back that it's not properly covered in the contract and nowt we can do.

More than likely yes, if Southampton are so keen to save money I can't see them trying this on if they weren't confident that they were within their rights to do so.

He won’t wait forever for a concrete offer.

I would hope that if he is our choice, then it's all sorted bar signing the contract, which I'm guessing isn't possible until Martin leaves. So everything agreed, just waiting for it to be officially signed and announced. Hopefully.

Which hopefully means he’s already working on things for the coming season with us behind the scenes… as I imagine Martin is with Southampton

Rodgers looks like he's going back to Celtic. Wonder if he'll try to take Davies with him? Soon see if he want's to be a no 1 or not.
