Martin has confirmed what we all knew, Bennett will be off in the summer, 25K a week saved, gave his all for us but doesn’t suit the way we play, all the best.

I suppose the savings will be balanced against a contract pay off or subsidised wages at another club.

Or a 'loyalty bonus', plus a sign on from the new club.

Footballers have it all ways.

Might play now that Cabango is crocked for the rest of the season.

With nothing left on the season it would make sense to chuck one of our kids in there for two games.

Looks like he’s going to be holding on to that 25K for another season then…

Yeah was obvious he was going to do that, unless someone can offer him similar wages he isn’t going anywhere.

Nailed on, no club is going to give him 5k a week let alone 22.5k a week.

Hopefully the last albatrosses around our neck, but who can blame him ...

Might be able to loan him out and get a few K a week covered?

It's a shame he got injured. I know he's not a ball player but he looked really solid before injury.

He's not a bad defender, just doesn't suit the way we play. Had that lump Moore in his pocket in the him Derby win last season.

Made perfect sense as a signing under Cooper, just doesn't fit Martin's style of play at all.

He was the kind of signing a certain type of fan constantly calls for when there's a chance of promotion, then the same fans moan when promotion doesn't happen and we're stuck with an expensive contract on the books. Can't have it both ways.

His fitness, or lack of it, is a big big problem. He could do a lot more to be match-fit, but obviously doesn't want to......
