Suggests more incompetence and cover up rather than devious wrong doing. Very embarrassing but far from fatal for the government

That's probably because this is the part of the report that they're allowing the public to see. There is an unredacted version which will still be kept under wraps.

A failure by government and the security services to even consider identifying the scope of the threat on our democracy, let lone act on it, should be fatal imo. People can draw their own conclusions as to why the government didn't want it investigated, but by simply refusing to do anything they've failed the UK in the most basic way possible.

At best asleep at the wheel at worst in cahoots.

THIS IS THE KILLER IN THE RUSSIA REPORT:
"The ISC urged Boris Johnson to order a review of "potential" Russian interference in the Brexit referendum - a call swiftly rejected by the government".

MI5 needs to investigate Boris Johnson ASAP

No wonder the Tories held up the release of the report

Everyone knows the Russians have a long history in interfering in UK affairs. But what happens when the UK accuses the Russian as in the Salisbury attack the far left led by Corbyn jumped to the Russians defence.
The Russian clearly want to destabilise UK they were doing back in the 80s when they paid money to scargill during the miners strike.

Two wrongs and all that

Interesting timing of this being published, happens to coincide with the Back to 60 campaign (WASPI) case appeal. 🤔
A lot of women, and families, have been seriously affected by the change in the pension age for women. My wife alone will have lost around £48,000 due to not being able to claim pension at 60.(approximately £8,000 per year). I can’t see anything coming of it unfortunately, but Boris said he would “look at it again”it in his campaign for the leadership. I wonder if he can backtrack on that one too. Oh, he already has.
