• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

My only concern with this news would be that in the future Liverpool might think twice about sending players out on loan to us.

Let’s remember Liverpool made millions out of the Brewster loan to us. I bet Sheff Utd wish they could send him back !! According to one article the Liverpool loan manager was satisfied with the loan, training & review of progress at a recent visit … who should we believe ?

Well all I know is that we definitely need to improve our dewfence in January

Yes we've been far too gushing with praise during that purpleish patch we had recently.
It's papered over the cracks unfortunately.

With RM playing 2 fullbacks, Naughton & Manning, in the centre of defence, it's inevitable that we will have several central defenders not getting any game time, in this case, Cabango, Williams & Cooper. Lati was originally signed as a central defender but has only been used as a (poor) wingback recently and players like Rushesha don't get a look in. One of them has to start next game instead of Bennett and either Williams or Cabango are probably next in the pecking order.

It wouldnt surprise me to see Fulton in the Naughton role and Naughton the right side instead of Bennet

It won't be Cabango, he's usually punished for going away on international duty on the return to league action. It's been a real shame for him as he's clearly not in Page's plans for some reason, calling in sub par defenders like Lawrence and Lockyer ahead of him. Probably would have benefited Cabango, us and Wales better had he taken part in the catch-up trainings with Martin over the international brakes rather than sitting on his arse on planes and benches.

Should have played Cabango or Williams instead of Bennett on Saturday though. It's been quite clear since he's been here that Bennett isn't up to three games in a week and should probably have been rested either on Saturday or against Coventry. What was all that business about there being changes on Saturday and then just making one change?
