Last summer we could demand 20m for him, this summer half that at best even with two 20 goal seasons behind him because of only one year left on his contract.

Even if we need to break the bank we need to sign him up to a longer contract, 15k a week? 25k?

A third goalscoring season like this and clubs WILL pay what we demand for him and we will make that extra wages back with plenty to spare.

There is no hope that he'll sign a new contract so its cash in time probably

Anything south of £20m for a 23 year old who has bossed the Championship in a struggling team is madness.

McBurnie was the same age when he went to Sheffield United for that figure.

Difference being that McBurnie had a few years to run on a contract and we had parachute payments coming in which put us in a strong bargaining position. Oh and we had a Chairman who knew what he was doing.

This time we have no parachute payments, clubs know we need to sell at least someone to break even, Piroe is in the last year of his contract so we either sell up or lose him for nothing next summer and we have the operation genius of Julian Winter at the helm who failed to bring in a right back (that Martin wanted) to reinforce the most blatantly obvious gap in our squad over not one but two transfer windows.

With a bit of luck, they’ll sack the invisible man, and total waste of space, Winter.
Put the saving of his wages in the pot, with what the market says we’ll get for Piroe.
Bearing in mind we had £2.5m for a class Welsh International wingback, who could also score and assist goals, in Connor Roberts.
So level down on your expectations when it comes to our glorious owners “selling” the excellent Joel Piroe, and what’s left after they take their investment cut. 💰

He's almost certainly not going to sign a new contract, not at a level we can afford at least. Given that and not being able to lose him for nothing next summer, I'd be surprised if we got close to £10m.

No chance of getting £20m, he’s in the last year of his contract and other clubs will be circling for a bargain. I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the teams who come down will snap him up.

That'll be ridiculous price for a striker that has scored 40+ goals in two seasons and who is still very young.

Agreed, but that's what happens when we have no leverage and everyone else knows it.

We have previous as well, we let Connor go for a horse shit sandwich, Lowe was cheap as chips as well.

I actually think that £2.5 million for Connor Roberts with 6 months remaining on his contract was an ok price.

He’s a questionably just about Premier League standard… a very good championship wing back but bang average Premier League player.

Connor Roberts Currently valued at €6m on Transfermarket.com

That valuation could double or triple this time next year if he has a solid season

In fairness Burnley will be a bang average or below Premier league side next season...
