From a couple of albums I’m enjoying lately.

Agreed about utter masterpiece, had it on in car a couple of weeks ago (still think "Remote Control" just edges it for me though!)

Here's my contribution as I had it on in the car about 1/2 an hour ago, featuring the lady pictured to the right>>>>>

Being polite, it's very nondescript. American rock bands have been excellent at turning out totally forgettable, formulaic songs (and made a very good living out of it).

Written about his girlfriend at the time, Elle MacPherson, but by the time it came out people thought it was about his then girlfriend, Christie Brinkley, as she was in the video. An homage to groups such as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, it spent 5 weeks at number 1.

Who's lol'ing now ?

The missus was speaking to Elle once in Paris and asked if she didn't mind having a photo with our son. She said fine but our son said no which made her laugh.

Not normally a band I’d listen to but I quite like this from them at the moment. https://youtu.be/Ve3fcInpKj0

Thanks, I enjoyed that. Haven't given them a fair shot as they always struck me as macho bullshit - like Pantera, but 20 years late to the party. I've always been drawn to the camper side of metal

Swimming around in my head atm , what a group going to Hyde Park next July to see them

I know what you mean. Modern ‘metal’ is very macho whereas the original concept was all flamboyance and fantasy with a lot of bands borrowing from classical. These days the intervention of Seattle, punk, hip-hop and blues has led it to be more diverse so these kind of bands have a little more freedom.

I still really enjoy these and have Saturday Playlist full of acoustic led 90’s hard rock. Give ‘em a spin, see what you think.
