Correct - the bounce only works if you actually have a team capable of winning games. If we'd have appointed Williams three weeks earlier than we did, he'd probably have had a bounce. The bounce will not make up for the gulf between us and Bournemouth / Southampton/ Leicester. Then the bounce factor is gone by time you get a decent fixture again.

None of us expected a 'bounce' against Leicester, and the other teams were also strong. Sheehan looked like an adequate assistant manager, but nothing more than that.
