• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

More deluded guff from the manager

Interesting bit about why oko was subbed, something to do with not listening to instruction, was probably attacking too much.

I sit right by the dugout and he was screaming at him from the start.

I assume it was stop taking men on and pass the bloody ball sideways instead,or suchlike?

Exactly, probably too direct for Martins delicate eyes.

On Radio Wales Ian Walsh said Swans struggled to create chances, Martin came on said we created plenty of chances. 4 of us in the car said what game he is watching, as people said what do we lack pace so what does he do take the only bit of pace we have off. Unbelievable

Its no real secret that the key to success under Rodgers and Laudrup was pace on the wings as well as dominating midfield. None of this 3-6-1 malarkey it was good old 4-5-1 stretching the pitch and using pace on the flanks to turn defenders and create space for our goal scorers.

Just what every young player making his way in the game needs. He was the only bright light on a poor 1st half performance. I mean , what more could he done today?

Time to assess where we are now. For me we are a top half team and that's it. As likely to scramble for 6th from top as 6th from bottom. Way too inconsistent, lessons clearly not being learnt , at times going forward we are ok. But as this league is shit beyond belief, we wont go down.
Had high Hope's few weeks back, but now mentally am tuned in that it'll be plenty more ups n downs till May.
Promotion....can't see it.

No point in talking promotion. This lot and the utter prat ‘in charge’, and it would be them, would be the biggest embarrassment ever seen in the top league.

80 games as manager of MK Dons
70 games as our manager.

More and more of his post match interviews are based on frustration that players aren't doing what they train to do.

Maybe games are different to training?

You can't break defending teams at walking pace.

433 swapping to 451 works really well in the Championship if you have two fast wide men. We could probably manage with Oko Flex and Manning but we won't.

He did it twice firstly with Oko and secondly with Obafemi, his idea of total football is alien to him to the to total ethos of football, football to me is dominating the ball and scoring goals and winning games, not dilly dalling with the fecking thing going no where, we saw the way to play in our winning run of games, but now he's again trying to re-invent the game.

This is a bloke who thinks the sun shines out of wood's posterior.
For me, it's a toss up between Wood and a traffic cone.
Neither has good movement.
And both have the same ability to move and pass the ball at the same time.

Oko. Off son. You're trying to attack too much.🙄
Wood. You're better than Darling.

Martin doesn't seem happy unless he can throw players under a steam roller.
