I remember watching Michu in his first game at the Liberty, a friendly against a German side (Stuttgart ?), and thinking to myself this is going to be good, what a talent

Michu had positional sense, desire and skill in abundance, there was never a player that I felt as confident would score when he had a goal scoring opportunity as him. As much as Laudrup could claim credit for bringing him here out of relative obscurity from a lesser fancied La Liga side he also has to take blame for the mismanagement which did in his ankles.

Admittedly Michu didn't help with that by booting advertising hoardings but still

A wonderful “get bums off seats“ player. You felt like something was going to happen every time he got the ball. Did his defensive chasing back brilliantly too.
We will never get another Michu.
