Barnsley aren’t noted for their possession based style are they unless I’ve missed something.

But his Cheltenham team almost held City out for 84 minutes before Phil Foden bailed them out.. that's when City were a steamroller of a team an all.. I remember watching it, a L2 team nullifying a frightening record breaking machine

Well yes, but these one offs happen. It doesn’t indicate anything one way or another. Can only measure it over a season. Barnsley didn’t look particularly special in the play off final.

Anyway, it’s all paper talk. I don’t understand why we are allowing this nonsense to drag on for so long. It’s a complete shambles. Again.

Club has been a shambles since those yankees have been here, as far as the team is concerned, I applaud them for keeping a grip on finances, but with them nothing gets done until money comes through the door, they won't move on another manager until this Martin fiasco is sorted.

In fairness to Martin he was promised things in January and nothing happened and then he was told they'll get it right in the summer and then he was told that he'll have to assess what's available to use in the academy, I'm not bothered about him leaving, but those conditions will apply to whoever replaces him I would expect.

The trust is on top of things though, I bet, making sure their comfy seats remain comfy with nice new blankets ready for winter bless them. :x

More chance of signing Mickey Duff!
Or Mickey Mouse, jeez, how many more are we going to be linked with, and to date fvck all has happened, its getting tedious now.👍

Sounds promising - a Watson esque appointee

Not convinced his possession stats will delight the Russy fan boys - certainly a stick to bash him with if he falters, as per

Social media chatter from Barnsley fans saying he’s off to us, next week should be interesting.

Definitely a shortlistee, I’d say. On an ever decreasing, carefully crafted, finely honed list.

Has all the hallmarks of what I’ve been expecting from Watson. And he will no doubt be fully briefed by the owners in ensuring that whoever we appoint is fully aligned to our widely renowned playing principles.

Working with the likes of Joey and some of our senior players who ‘get it’, Duff is clever enough to tweak his own principles and get us back on track with a more pragmatic, attractive and winning brand.

He definitely strikes me as a Watson type manager, if he does come in I’m sure he’ll do well with us, the last N Irish manager didn’t do too shabby with us.

Everyone banging on about Paul Watson, last I looked he was still employed with someone else, if he's meant to be coming why the delay...
