Russell Martin didn’t use so many words to say so but it seemed relatively clear that time was up at Swansea City for both Michael Obafemi and Jamie Paterson after their omission from the 4-0 win over Norwich yesterday evening. It seems relatively straight forward that Martin’s patience with the...

What takers would there be for Pato? He hasn’t set the world alight for some time and his attitude issues will surely put some off.

I wouldn’t doubt a lower end champ side or a decent league 1 side would take a punt on him if the price is right. I would take the first offer for him and just get him gone. He’s more hassle than he’s worth. That goes for Obafemi as well. Can’t wait to see the back end of both of them.

We had some warning signals about Obafemi's attitude with public quotes from Ralph Hassenhutl when was still at Southampton. He didn't get a look in with us for half a season then had a good four months, didn't get the move he wanted to Burnley and never looked the same player after that.

Now more public words again from RM about him, I do feel myself that we won't see him in a Swans shirt again.

As for Paterson? He has looked a fraction of the player he was after the announcement of his new contract last December, I was prepared to forgive and forget after he threw his toys out of the pram during that saga but he has played like a drip ever since.

Two Martin signings again falling short.

Have to improve recruitment and I'd worry - Ogbene aside - about giving him any more money.

Hard to put any value on them on current attitude and form. Agree get them gone. Otherwise we are paying wages for deadwood.

In the interests of fairness while Paterson was absolutely an RM signing I don't think Obafemi was, we were linked with him several times before we signed him in the summer and winter windows previously.

I think Paterson could go back to Coventry, here’s hoping anyway, Burnley will probably sign Obafemi for half of what they offered in the summer.

Yep. We had a loan deal agreed under Cooper and he got injured in training which put a stop to it.

What about wages? Haven’t we just bumped up his wage via a new contract? That might put him out of reach for the L1 clubs. Agree your point about the hassle factor, it must be frustrating for a manager to have to deal with such personalities.

Obafemi deleting all his Swans social media stuff again, what a child he is, the quicker he goes the better.

Yeah true, completely forgot about the wage rise. Probably thinks he’s too good for league 1 as well. I can imagine him and Oba have been nightmares to deal with, considering they’re like 2 peas in a pod as well. Just get shot of them both either way.

Both wrong un's, sooner they fuk off the better 👍

Be lucky to get two bob for the pair of them, clubs will know we want rid so there won't be much in way of remuneration coming back into the club, plus what clubs are gonna cover their their wages could be an expensive exit.

From what we've seen of them on swans social media they both come across as very immature. It's a shame in the case of obafemi as it's got talent but he's just another wastrel
