Great, another striker who’s not really a striker.

Would much prefer Max Watters.

Interesting that he only spent two weeks training with Werder Bremen and he had to go home because he was homesick.
Mmmmm.

Maybe it was a language barrier? Obviously need the deal signed but purely from a footballing perspective this looks good.

Also, a player with 39 caps and 10 international goals vs a 3 month league 2 wonder? We have to trust Andy Scott’s judgement on this one. Could be a good mould for Lowe

He was born in Washington state and plays for Seattle. I imagine the weather here will be perfect for him!

I have to think him and Conor Hourihane on loan sounds like a much better deal than a £1m+ gamble on Watters. No huge financial penalty if they don't work out. If they do well and we get promoted, we'll have the money to sign them (although we'd probably be shopping at a different level at that point).

Hourihane especially interests me. Lots of experience, been promoted from this league and scored 18 goals across his last two seasons in the Championship. Plus a genuine left-footer gives you something different.

I'd be very excited if these two deals happen.

To be fair that was 5 years ago when he was only 21, I guess he's matured a bit since

Watters is a league 2 striker having a fine season. The only bit I've seen was the Leeds game last weekend. Very hard working, will run the channels all day but totally one footed. Went past the keeper on the left but used his right foot to stop the ball and turn which cost him time and the chance was gone. We should be looking for a good Championship striker who might make a Premier League squad player should we go up. We probably can't afford one to buy so loan may be the best option. Watters doesn't look close to the required quality to me. I may be wrong. I often am.

He seems to have the stamp and playing style similar to Trundle but with pace.

Still think we will see another striker come in aswell.

got to laugh, scummer forum and walesonline acted like watters has chosen cardiff over us (much like they did with Wilson) - do they really fckn think we wouldnt have had either if we really wanted them

Jordan Morris was in last years MLS team of the year, alongside Alejandro Pozuelo
