12M plus 3M add ons. Looks a goer and to be done today is the rumour.

Getting it done now allows us to get the requirements with a week to go
Centre half
Left wing back
Midfielder
Possible Piroe replacement.

Personally if that's the fee then I think we have done alright.

Experienced centre half to lead the younger lads, a left wingback, an attacking midfielder to link the defence and attack.
A Piroe replacement is a bit unnecessary right now with Yates, Ginnelly, Cullen and Kuharevych all players who prefer to play up front.

It's unusual to see a favourite player that we still are happy to see let go, but anything over £10 mill would be fine by me. As Bakajack says, we currently have Championship quality players to replace him and Joel deserves to do well elsewhere.

We've already replaced Piroe. If he stays I'd guess we'd be in a bit of a pickle, or need a rethink.

If this has real legs, and we can chop Wood for 15m to Billy on Solent, then it's potentially shaping up nicely.

Interesting interview with Duff. I hadn't really cottoned on that he has NO say on what players rock up, he just deals with them when they do. I wonder if that is actually true or a nice shield from stupid interview questions about players from stupid reporters.

He’s been a great player for us in previous seasons although his performances this season have been dreadful, presumably as he is distracted by a big money move and trying to avoid injury.

He’s going to go sooner or later and hopefully some of the cash will be used to bolster the midfield and left back.

Big Fab romano confirmed it

His track record isn't great this summer, mind.

Yates and Ginnelly were both bought to play. Kukharevych to develop. Cullen will fill the gaps while everyone gets up to speed. Recall Thomas in January in the event of an emergency. No need to replace Joel when other areas of the pitch need more help.

Duff confirmed Kuharevych won’t be starting much this season and he was brought in to develop so I think we’ll dip in for a Piroe replacement, we’ll probably change up formation and Ginnelly will end up being a winger for us.

I do wonder if trying to accommodate Piroe and Yates is causing us problems. With Ginnelly and kuharevych we now have natural wingers again and maybe could do better with a front three leaving Yates as the sole striker? Maybe that was the plan all along. If it is, we probably need another winger rather than striker, as Cullen can cover the central role (as long as we play ball to feet and not in the air!).

Just remember how bad he looked last Autumn. If he gets off to a bad start up there, it could get ugly.

Looks like a replacement for Piroe is going to happen before the window.
No names but it really changes things for us massively in getting players through the door.

It's going to be an interesting and busy week.

No Leeds fan but I hope he does well.
His time here he just got on with what he was asked to do.
No drama queen unlike some.
He Said all along he wasn't signing an extension best result for us methinks.

I've gone on record a few times saying the current formation isn't doing us any favours, the front four (including the wingbacks) are isolated and left having to contest long balls into the channels. We either need to drop 2 up top to accommodate an attacking midfielder to link the play or move one of the three central midfielders forward to accomplish the same.

Thinking back to Duff's interview about Ginnelly when he signed he talked about how his biggest strength was making runs from deep taking advantage of his pace, leads me to believe that either Ginnelly will play using Yates as a foil with two up top or he might drop deeper into the attacking midfield role and Yates partnered with Cullen or Kuharevych.

Did he? I thought he said he was a young player and young players can't play 46 games? I'd be shocked if we bought another forward. I'd expect us to use what we have and if it doesn't work out have a look in Jan, depending on where we are.

Left sided players was Duff's identified need.
