I agree that while the odds are not 0% it is definitely more likely no than yes.
I thought about it and how/where we would fit in Bale into our current formation and it would mean dropping Piroe or Paterson - either that or a change in formation.

Reports from Spain saying he has signed a pre contract with Tottenham, which is also feasible.

I really hope so, think he's worth it myself, although I think he'll play more at a mid-tableish type club, but I think he's still far to good for Cardiff or he Championship.

I think he’ll be a Smith replacement. He won’t play in front of grimes or downes, but he’s certainly a good option to bring on for the last 20-30 mins, better than Smith anyway.
