Didn't know Gary, but if the pub is a reflection of the man, he must have been a fine chap. Spent many a pre match session there in the Vetch days, and the occasional visit since.

Fuk my eyes he was a lovely guy with a wicked sense of humour, I haven't been there for a good while, but I know he retired or at least took a back seat and handed the reigns to Joe his head barman.
