I can understand why you see it as arrogant, I just disagree. A silver medal in the Olympics says you are the 2nd best man or woman in the world at your sport. A silver medal from a football match probably just reminds you that you lost. Hopefully the players will come to appreciate them in time.

It was a tournament not a one off match. They came second in the tournament.
