Ok it will never happen, but we cannot go into the play offs with this negative manager and expect to go up.
Or do we keep him for next year and hope to go again?

Not normally one for expediency in such matters, but in this case it may be worth a shot.

No energy or passion in this team. You swear tonight's performance was a training match.

If, as seems likely, we're still a Championship side next season, a third year of this would be horrifying.

Tempting as it would be to make a change now, I think we're stuck with him and hoping someone takes him off our hands in the summer.

He wont go this season, and we wont be in the running again next year, who evers here.

Who in their right minds is going to offer him a job to tempt him away ?

I still think we’ll have to wait until November.

Who's the 24 lunatics who want him to stay!
I'm one SJ.

Due to the way we're now used to playing under Cooper, we'd be slaughtered in the PL - I don't think we could adjust quickly enough to how we used to and should play imho, even with a new coach. I'd rather not pay compo and hope he's off in the close season. If he doesn't walk, then yes, at that point I'd get rid. The only fly in that oinkment is that ideally he would go sooner than later at season end, to give the new coach time. Spread the word, and hopefully a new club would also want him sooner than later (the mad fools).

In any case if it were me, I'd be planning and lining up his successor(s) now. Sacking him now would not portray us in a good light, especially for prospective developing (foreign please) coaches wanting to come here.

The best we can hope for is a player coup.
If we did get promoted it would be near impossible to sack Cooper ... can you imagine this in the PL?

If Rotherham can sneak a couple of wins then Rooney might be available, I know someone on this board who has a hard on for him.
