Controversial topics like this are the reason I come to this site. Butter the biscuits first, of course.

Butter fan me, I'd put butter on an orange, not on a biscuit and cheese though sorry.

Saying that, lightly toast a digestive biscuit and put butter on it👍
It was the thing back in the day, you won't be disappointed 😎

Not all cheese eaters eat all cheese.

Cheese is the one food that I’m a bit ambivalent about and it’s only in recent years have I considered a cracker and cheese. However, even then I’ll avoid the blue stuff.

Bluddy luvs blue cheeses, me. Stilton, rochefort, you name it.
Luvs most other cheeses too. Some Spanish cheeses are OK to good, but not a patch on French, Italian or British cheeses, plus that North Korean nutters' favourite, Emmental.
A real beuwt we've found since living here is a Bavarian cheese sold in Aldi, similar in shape and consistency to Camembert but much tastier, really creamy.
As for accessories, can't beat British cheesy biscuits, fortunately you can get 'em all here in the British supermarket (Iceland Waitrose). I like the Carrs range and also a good water biscuit, although I also dabble in those minature, very crunchy 'toasts' you get here in mega-packets.
Personally wouldn't dream of buttering my biscuits or putting pickle on, but am partial to nice juicy black seedless grapes.
Bluddy starvin' now.

Now a Jacob's cream cracker especially the saltier ones are a real stomach settler.
Had a tough night on the pop, dodgy guts, not sure what to have with some cold meat, sick and tired of eating crap......then look no further.
