my wife was diognosed with breast cancer on new years eve. it was like being kicked in the stomach. so please get your wives to check themselves regulary.

My sister in law had a mastectomy 3-4 years ago. It was picked up early, she had excellent care and she's absolutely fine and I hope your wife has a similar outcome. Unfortunate timing with the bad news. Good luck to you both.

So sorry to hear your terrible news PB.

My thoughts are with your wife and your family.

Thoughts definitely with your wife and family - stay strong

My thoughts are with your wife and you and your family. Hopefully it’s been caught early enough to make a good recovery.
My mother discovered that she had breast cancer back in the early 80’s, had a mastectomy and lived cancer free until last April, aged 89, when she passed away at the start of the Covid problems. It is, in certain circumstances, possible to get through this dreadful disease and live a full life afterwards. Please give your wife the best wishes of all on Planet Swans as I’m sure everyone is hoping for a good outcome.

I know how you are feeling, my wife was diagnosed just before Xmas 6 years ago,as Stated if its caught early , thats a good thing,

Its going to be a tough few weeks and you need to be strong and supportive, if you need to PM no problem.

Stay positive, treatment is spot on these days.

My heart goes out to you patch. My wife has been through two scares in the last five years and thankfully both proved benign. Her mother had breast cancer three times and lived to 89 so there’s hope.

Try to be strong for her even though you’ll feel helpless, uncertain and pained. My thoughts are with you both.

Sorry to hear this.
Try Marie curie and Macmillan for advice and support.
My best wishes you all.

Stay strong PB. You'll get through this. Thoughts and prayers with you and yours.

Good luck for the future, Patch. You may not know it now but there will be a whole host of support networks out there for you; you don't have to be alone in this fight. Don't be afraid if you find yourself having to manage the NHS either, its wheels don't always turn in the same direction and you will inevitably find yourself being the link between two people / departments that don't seem to communicate. And above all else try to remain positive at all times. Easy to say but much harder to achieve, but I'm a firm believer that a can do attitude will see you come out the other side.

Stay strong PB, we all behind you and yer family pal. Dont suffer alone yeah, plenty on here will take a PM from you.

Good luck and best wishes to your wife and you and your family Patch,

So sorry to hear that. I can't say I know much about breast cancer though two friends of mine have beaten it recently. I am undergoing chemo atm though so if you have any questions, need any advice etc. please feel free to ask me. I'll be happy to help if I can.

All the best.
