Better angle today and the guy could have broken Fultons ankle with his trailing leg.

Think when people see it today then realisation will set in.

Fulton kicks the player and goes down. Sorry, but the goal should have stood.

That is clear that he kicked him, not the point I am trying to make.
You need to look at Fultons standing leg and Bolasies trailing leg and see the contact there.

2 wrongs don't make a right but one challenge was worse than than the other, watch it again anfmd tell me what was worse, Fultons kick it Bolasies follow through onto Fultons ankle.

He didn't kick him. Bolase's trailing leg hit the back of his leg, pushing Fulton's foot into the foot he'd placed in front of Fulton's. Clear infringement, which directly impact the goal as Fulton may have blocked the resulting shot. But there you go, listen to the biased pundits if it makes you feel better.

Fulton kicked the player after that player kneed him in the thigh. Referee had a great view and made an excellent decision.

Could have gone either way. Should have gone our way. Went our way. Ditto BOTH penalties this week.

On we go.

The whistle had gone, the 'goal' could not have stood.
Had the whistle not gone the shot might have blocked.
Apart entry the ref told Warnock he got the decision wrong but I still say the player who Fulton tussled with made a reckless challenge.

Yes the trailing leg does catch Fulton as he is sliding to get to the ball first. Fulton then kicks his leg. It could have gone either way and luckily it went our way. I suppose if the boot was on the other foot I would have been unhappy to see it ruled out.

Its strange that the muppets on quest didn't mention the trailing let that actually caused fulton to fall, they chose to emphasis fulton kicking bolasies foot onto the ball.

Its looking like we are the current bad boys, just hope it doesnt affect refs perception of us in our up and coming matches.

I haven't looked at it since the replays during the match coverage, but to me it looked 50/50. Not a penalty nor a freekick.

Should have been a Boro goal though, I think. The ref did blow up before the Boro player struck the ball to be fair to him.

That's what all the 'experts' in the studios are missing. The replays show how good a view the referee had of the challenge and he was obviously watching Fulton closely in case he committed a foul that would have led to a penalty. Instead he had a good enough view that he immediately blew for a foul on Fulton. He was certain.

I think it was one of those that could have gone either way and we got the rub of the green, but don't understand the hysteria about the decision. There was probably 100 more controversial decisions made in football league games yesterday. If that had been a decision against us while we were in the Prem (especially against a 'big' team), it wouldn't have merited any discussion on MOTD. It just fits the (correct) narrative that we were very lucky to get 3 points yesterday.

Not if the whistle went before the player struck it. Foul or no foul.

All this discussion, has anyone thought of asking Colin's opinion?
