Peter Ham, writer of some great songs and sadly lost to the world far, far too soon.
I never actually knew Pete but I did know his brother John, obviously from his music shop but also as a partner of a business venture our company was involved in with him. John was also a regular at Swansea Jazz Club.
I also knew the drummer of The Iveys (Terry) who left the band and was replaced by Mike Gibbins.
This is probably Badfinger’s best known song, but sung by a different artist (Harry Nilsson).
They had so many great songs it’s hard to choose my favourite.

Apologies, I didn’t realise the video was not available. Sorted now 🙄

Two tragedies in the band.
As an aside, I did not know Peter, but was a customer of the Ham shop during my first foray into hi-f and dealt with John.
I did know Mike Gibbins (known to most as "Micky"). He was at Penlan the same time as me, although a year below and lived not far from us - he in Cadle, me in Portmead.
