Linked with Middlesbrough 2.5M with us getting Max Lowe on loan from Sheffield United, 2.5M seems a good deal for Bidwell to me last year of his contract as well I believe?

No chance will they be paying 2.5m? That's more than a good price considering how much we paid, he isn't that good, and last year of contract. I would have thought it would be less than a million

2.5M is what I seen quoted online, hell of a deal considering we had him on a free.

Not a chance anyone is paying any more than £250k for Bidwell. He’s average at best. We should be looking to improve in that area.

If we get Lowe in as a replacement that’s very decent; much more athletic and powerful although can’t help thinking Manning will be excellent at lwb, particularly as they literally play like wingers

Shame that but can't turn down money when he's in last year of contract, especially as we have cover and the Max Lowe situation looks sorted.

Been a good acquisition on a freebie, but if he's not in RM's plans then so be it.

Will be interesting to see if he plays tonight… deal close to being done by The Northern Echo -

Anything over £1 million is a no Brainer - the £2.5 million talked about would be phenomenal - that sort of money could see us being able to keep Grimes and/or Roberts

Jake Bidwell: Middlesbrough target Swansea defender

Middlesbrough have enquired about a move for Swansea City defender Jake Bidwell.

Bidwell, 28, is in the last year of his Swans contract and could be allowed to leave if the Championship clubs can agree a fee.

Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock is keen for options at wing-back, though is yet to make a formal offer.

"Jake's a good player, but there are so many others we're looking at that area," Warnock said.

Will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of days with Jake, good player been a top pro for us but if Martin wants pace for the LWB then he moves on.

Perfect for Colin Wankers style of play.

It would be a shame for him to go as he's been great the last 18 months for us, got himself fit after a poor start to his swans career and has be a top pro.

Must have been watching a different player to myself, average at best...£2.5m is daylight robbery imo, let's hope this gets done with an above average replacement incoming 👍
