Any takers? All the balls we get in the box he’d be a decent option off the bench now Cullen is injured, he offers a presence with the crosses in the air and for his size he isn’t that bad with the ball at his feet, rumoured to be on next to nothing wages at Reading & W Brom.

Always heard that he has a bit of the "big I am" attitude so would be a hard pass from me

Yeah remember hearing some similar things when he was at Newcastle him & Nolan, I think for free and wages of 5K a week he’d be a decent option providing he’d be up for it, Cabango’s 2 efforts and Piroes header most likely goes in if Carroll is on the end of them.

I know Martin showed hints yesterday that he is willing to adapt the process somewhat, but I have to think that just the thought of signing a player like Andy Carroll would be enough to make him physically sick.

Yeah I bet he doesn’t like the idea of it at all, but if we’re pumping the ball in the box from corners and open play if we’re winning 1-0, he’d be a great option to come on and potentially nod one of those in.

It's a decent point and he could be a decent option, but we've enough ego's in the squad as it is, doubt there's room for another massive ego.

Absolutely no way should he be near this place.
Plus having witnessed Ollie on Sat and the commitment he's looking to give us....fck Andy Carroll.

Andy Carroll is decent at what he does, can't deny it, but he's a crock. If you thought Craig Beattie was bad .... I'd rather have Joseph and Whitaker back.

Could be off to Wolves, if their appeal against the FA's refusal to grant Diego Costa a work permit fail's.
I wonder if that would happen if it was a "bigger" club than Wolves

I spent a lot of time with him this summer as he was here for about 2 months doing an incredibly intense fitness camp in Mallorca. Physically, he seems to be in excellent shape, but nothing replicates actually being on the pitch, of course. He was training on the beach at 6.30am every day (including weekends), doing other sports in the afternoon and quite often joining the locals/expats in football matches in the evenings.

As for his attitude, he might have been a twat at other clubs (I have no idea) but he and his mates and family were incredibly down to earth and friendly. They really were good people and not one ego between them.

Would I take him if I was the Swans manager? If the deal was weighted on appearances and goals, then yes. He's still hungry and when you see him hit a ball, you know he's still got it.

Also, he's incredibly skinny. I always thought he'd be a lot bigger/heavier, the way he bossed all of our defenders over the years. Very very tall, but so skinny...

Would make an incredible goalkeeper who would be handy going up for an offensive corner kick in the dying embers of a match.
