    What are Reform policies

Some do. Some don’t. Some vote for how it affects them. Some vote on how it may affect others close to them or less fortunate than them. Some scrutinise manifestos and decide that way, Some vote the way they always have. In short, people are different. I’m not sure your first sentence is...

    Senedd Election 2026

Last two polls tonight both show Plaid as the largest party by varying percentages. I wonder if there’s such a thing as a shy Reform vote as people won’t admit to pollsters that they plan on voting for them. It’s always been a bit of a thing that pollsters tended to underestimate the Tory vote...

    Senedd Election 2026

First thing Reform will do if they don’t perform as they hope is shout “fixed election”. They did it when Plaid put them on their arse in Caerphilly a few months ago. Straight out of the MAGA playbook and their sheep like cult lap it all up.

    Senedd Election 2026

Don’t you think more people may vote on a non working weekend day? Most countries vote on weekends. It’s just common sense.

    Senedd Election 2026

I’m not arguing but the facts remain.

    Senedd Election 2026

The fact is that we still insist on having elections on a Thursday and at the same time have conversations about how increase turnout.

    He’s a proper loose cannon. 🤣

    Max loves the Tories. Shocker.

    Arsenal v Atletico Madrid.

It’s astonishing how a team as limited and as unutterably tedious as Arsenal could conceivably end up with a Premier and Champions League double. Game’s gone.

    Senedd Election 2026

Again if those poll figures turn out to be accurate, 53% of the Welsh electorate will vote for left leaning parties (Plaid, Labour, Green). 59% if you want to include the LibDems. Despite all the noise Reform and the Tories barely mustering 38% combined. But yeah. Let’s see what Friday brings.

    Senedd Election 2026

They may not need to if the figures in that poll are reflected on Friday. They won’t have a majority but no Welsh government has ever had a Senedd majority. With 43 seats they could probably govern as a minority government negotiating with other parties on a vote by vote basis.

    Senedd Election 2026

Ah I should have read FBC’s reply first.

    Senedd Election 2026

No. I think the Senedd will have to reconvene before any formal handover of government though as the Senedd elects the first minister. All that has to be done within a month of the election I believe. It’s not like a Westminster election which is pretty brutal. Lose and you’re gone overnight.

    The World Cup

Yup. Hopefully something alternative gets sorted.

The entire primary care system never really got out of the Covid scenario where they felt like they were doing you a massive favour by giving you an actual appointment when you actually need it. When primary care fails, people will rock up at hospitals.

    The World Cup

I can’t wait. I love a World Cup or Euros. I think as we get older some of us (including me at times) get all dewy eyed about how it was better when we were kids/growing up/younger. It mostly wasn’t. Italia 90 is held up often as the World Cup peak for our generation and I’ve got fond memories...
