I'm 70/30 against this. Championship teams have a dismal record as it is without adding a team that has no business being there through a fluke. On the other hand, it'll reduce the number of teams and games that are essentially meaningless at back end of the season.

They seem to mostly rely on stats. It was pretty telling that they referenced the games we lost as a reason for us not to get too excited, if they watched those games they would be aware of just how close a lot of them were and how the performances were still strong.
