Maybe, but a few posters have said the same. As I said, looking beyond some mistakes and bad decisions that was the best I think I’ve seen us play for ages. I just hope we don’t go back from this as that style of play is just great to watch.

I really disagree. I think we were a bit wasteful and we were sloppy with some passing and decision making but for me that’s the first time I thought we have the beginning of a formation and style that could go in to be a genuine force for next season. Please God they stick to that as a shape...

Every time I watch him at this level I think he looks great. I don’t with Wales very often. I’d love to see him play for us.

God, I prefer this formation rather than the inverted full back stuff. So much more room. Widens the whole thing out. Key is making a huge difference. Playing very well at both ends. But the midfield three is too much if the same. Need one of them off (Franco for me) and Widell or Cullen on...

    Oooooh

Yeah. That has been said quite a few times over the past few years… The on field stuff I mean. Off the field is promising. Albeit we wait to see how it translates into money for the club.

Yeah, I agree with all that. I remember saying just before he went that I hoped the club realised that relegation was a genuine possibility as we were in free fall. Getting us out of that was the main task for matos and he’s done that well. We need to wait to see if the next bit (turning us...

    What Ewe Watching

Under Salt Marsh on Sky is really good. Set in North Wales - lead character is the actress that plays Kevin Costner’s daughter on Yellowstone together with Rafe Spall and Jonathan Pryce. Quite reminiscent of a quality Scandie thriller in the way it’s filmed and structure. It’s gripping. how...

It doesn’t make sense to me to say that ‘it would be an excellent season considering the disaster for half of it’. Surely the disastrous bit is equally a part of the season as the better bit? Excellent would not be a word I’d use to describe this season as a whole. It’s been much the same as...

    Colours Nailed and all that

If the club allowed Darren O’Dea to sign our most expensive signing of the window and arguably the most crucial, that’s a sign of utter incompetence and someone should be sacked (along with O’Dea). But it’s simply not true. What may well be true is that after a window of being turned down by a...

    Colours Nailed and all that

I personally am really enjoying watching us at the moment. I like the effort and desire and didn’t think we were going to go up anyway (and as I said before, didn’t want to go up to be honest as I don’t enjoy a season seeing us thrashed every week). Our snail’s pace football has largely gone...

    Colours Nailed and all that

Why do you continually repeat such a pointless statistic? In the seasons since the parachute payments ended we’ve finished 15th, 10th, 14th and 11th. Hardly setting the world alight. As far as points are concerned, we’ve had 61, 66, 57, 61. We currently have 46. 46 with 11 games left. So we...

    S25/26 | The Official Match Thread | Ipswich Town 3 Swansea City 0 | Att: 27,594 | 28/02/26 | The EFL Championship | Portman Road

To be fair, it depends on the premier league team. Some that have been relegated have been premier league in name only. In other words, they’ve been promoted, been thrashed most weeks and have come back down. That’s not really a sign of anything. Leicester, Ipswich and Soton last season got...

    Keir Starmer

In my view, standard political analysts are getting increasingly caught out. I include the ‘sainted’ John Curtice who the BBC still talk about as though he’s infallible despite him being wrong as often as not. He’s utterly unable to predict the effects of tactical voting on his predictions. Plus...

The proof will be after the next general election given that’s what Zia Yusuf (and you) are talking about.

I remain unconvinced that the league gets stronger every year. I understand the point that it should do given financial factors but that assumes consistent pounds per unit of player quality. What I do see is incessant inflation of both fees and salaries on bang average players that takes up...

Reform haven’t yet cottoned on to the fact that a greater percentage of the population despise them so much they will vote for whoever will beat them than will vote for them. Swings become irrelevant. And opinion polls can’t take the tactical vote into consideration so consistently over value...
