Oh and whilst I’m here someone tell Smurph he’s on ignore after he made his vile Perchesque comment about Polanski last night especially when I’m the father of someone who looks different.
He’s such a lefty see. 🤮

That's debatable.

I don’t think it is, in fact I think it’s part of the problem. A big part. People not being able to see other peoples opinions and just slinging mud instead.

Setting fire to hotels with people in it, that's not an opinion.

When a so called opinion is just someone peddling, lies, misinformation and hatred, it’s no longer an opinions is it.

Aren’t you a teacher or lecturer? Apologies if I have that wrong.

I’m absolutely against any kind of hatred or lies, just as much as you are. There is misinformation on both sides of the coin. I’m probably as centrist as you can get and I don’t like the way politics is going on either ends of the spectrum.

You’re not a centrist, however much you may want to label yourself as such. You’re most definitely on the right of your believe what you are typing. Just own it.

I’m massively on the left, couldn’t care what others think about it. In fact I’ve got plenty of communist leanings. Darren will love that last sentence and will bring it up for years to come. He’ll probably also think that it means I like Putin or Russia, but there we go.

I’m probably just right of centre, in all honesty, but I’m certainly no far-right Reform type. I value policies on both sides. Doesn’t mean I’m right on everything of course, we’re all allowed opinions.

It’s not. Debate gets stifled when one of the two sides (it doesn’t matter which) starts bringing insults to the table.
It's not as simple as that. The right tend to base a lot of their arguments on rumors and scaremongering and those of the right wing generally aren't the most intelligent of people.

That's not an insult, a lot the time it's fact. They'll believe anything that is put in front of them of them.

What’s not?

Mr Swerve made the point that there are thick people at both ends of the spectrum. That’s a fact. For there to be credible left to right and right to left debate, you have to have people capable of engaging.
